Vin Diesel is gearing up to play another Marvel superhero on the big screen. In an interview with io9, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Fast and the Furious actor said that voicing Groot wouldn't preclude him from playing a superhero in a different Marvel franchise, as long as he didn't use his voice in the film.

"We've heard a lot of talk about Marvel wanting to have me play a character that doesn't have my voice," Diesel told io9. "So my voice is used for Groot and my presence is used for the other character."

While io9 played it dumb about which character Diesel was talking about, his comments are in line with rumors that he'll be playing Black Bolt in the upcoming Inhumans movie. Black Bolt's voice generates concussive blasts strong enough to level a mountain, so the Inhuman king remains mute in all but the gravest of circumstances. Vin Diesel's long been linked with Black Bolt, even before Marvel officially announced an Inhumans movie. Diesel hinted about his involvement with the project in 2014 and even name dropped Black Bolt last spring while promoting Furious 7.

Inhumans is scheduled to come out in theatres on July 19, 2019. To see the full slate of upcoming Marvel movies, check out ComicBook.com's full Movie Release Schedule.
