Next week, the Titans will reassemble for Titans: Rebirth #1, bringing together most of the original DC Comics sidekicks who came together in New Teen Titans in the 1980s.
And while most of the characters will get minor costume redesigns, the biggest one will, as you'd likely expect, go to Wally West -- the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths, pre-Final Crisis version of The Flash and the character who served as the point-of-view voice for DC Universe: Rebirth #1 two weeks ago.
Wally had been missing in action since the Flashpoint storyline in 2011, and a distant cousin who shared his name -- a black teen who himself would go on to become Kid Flash as Wally had years ago -- was temporarily his "replacement" until it was revealed that the original Wally was trapped in the Speed Force until events in recent issues of Justice League "opened a door" through which he could escape back into a timeline that doesn't remember him.
In spite of that, it appears he'll be taking up with his old comrades, remembering their days in the Teen Titans and working together to make the world a better place. And DC has released concept art of Wally's new suit from Titans artist Brett Booth -- along with some annotations that give insight into the suit's look and function.
You can see a "clean" look at the character above, and an annotated look at Wally's new costume -- which includes white lightning, rather than the yellow favored by Barry Allen, and a different lightning bolt design than Barry's, more in line with what was featured on Wally in the Justice League cartoon. And, no, your eyes don't deceive you: that's two different shades of red in his costume, allowing him to be a crimson comet like when he was The Flash, but also have a design aesthetic similar to what he had as Kid Flash.
