Transformers: The Last Knight continues to build its roster of ‘bots, adding another Decepticon to the roster. The redesigned car transformation of Barricade, the crooked cop car from the evil bots’ team was revealed Friday in a tweet from returning (human) star, Josh Duhamel.
I thought weโd already put this bad cop away. #transformers pic.twitter.com/5IxqrM8cGr

The “bad cop” stays in a Ford Mustang Saleen, though is obviously in a more modern edition of the vehicle. Michael Bay, his production team, and the stars are slowly rolling out (pun intended) first looks at the vehicle forms of the robotic stars of the film across social media, on twitter and instagram. The roster hasn’t yielded any major surprises yet, aside from the reveal that Megatron, the Decepticons leader, is returning to the fold, having previously been seemingly killed and replaced by Galvitron (who he then took over – it’s complicated).

Transformers: The Last Knight is the fifth film in the franchise, and the first to come out of a newly-assembled writers room of A-list writers that Paramount brought together to help build a new “cinematic universe” off the franchise. They’ll be creating new solo character movies, team movies, and animated films that will all exist within the same cinematic universe that has already earned billions at the box office.
Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters August 1, 2017.
