“But, the bell’s already been rung. And they’ve heard it. But in the dark, among the stars.”

During the Justice League set visit, which took place before Jesse Eisenberg confirmed in a recent interview that Lex Luthor would appear in the film, it was pointed out to director Zack Snyder that Lex was noticeably absent and was asked if Lex is a presence at all.
“I think that’s a little bit of a spoiler,” Snyder said to Comicbook.com and other members of the press, “but I think that Jesse’s amazing and hilarious and fun, and he’s in prison so he knows prisons are not in the comic book world pretty viscous places, you know. Pretty porous.”
Sounds like Lex, the Greatest Criminal Mind on Earth, isn’t going to sit around in his prison cell, sipping on Granny’s Peach Tea, while Batman and his super-friends take on Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons. Though I’m not sure how he’s going to bust out of prison since he doesn’t have a dim-witted cellmate to play holographic chess with him, or Miss Teschmacher to come swooping in on a hot-air balloon.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroesโBatman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flashโit may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
The film is being directed by Zack Snyder, based on a screenplay by Chris Terrio. The cast features Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, and Amber Heard as Mera.
Justice League will open in theaters on November 17, 2017.
