When Amazon founder and Washington Post owner, Jeff Bezos, was in fourth-grade, he and his friends used to play Star Trek almost everyday, fighting over who’d get to play Captain Kirk or Spock. It is that passion for the franchise that led him to found his private space travel company, Blue Origin, in September 2000.

Now it has been revealed that Bezos got to live out a childhood dream, as he will make a cameo in the upcoming film, Star Trek Beyond.
“He was awesome,” director Justin Lin told the Associated Press. “It was like a president was visiting, you know? He had a big entourage! But it didn’t matter because he was so into it. He had to wait around all day because it was one day we were shooting like three different scenes and, it was also credit to Jeff because … he just nailed it every time.”
Even though Bezos is one of the wealthiest men in the world, he isn’t as recognizable as other billionaires, such as Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, and/or Elon Musk. “I was there for the bit with his, like, nine bodyguards and three limos. It was really intense,” said Chris Pine. “I had no idea who he was. Not a clue. But he was obviously very important.”
