On Thursday, two schools in Aalabama were put on lockdown after the "Flomo Klowns" threatened students of Escambia County.

A group of parents contacted the sheriff's office to report that their children had received threatening messages from a Facebook user named "Flomo Klown." The user allegedly made a threat against the students' schools.

Shortly after the threats were made, Flomaton High School and Escambia County High School were put on partial lockdown. In an effort to track down leads, the police deputies are currently in the process of interviewing anyone who might have information regarding the case.

The "Flomo Klowns" have a Facebook page where they have written posts such as: "I kill people for a living." There was also another threatening message that stated, "It's going down tonight" with several gun emojis.

Most of the posts by the Flomo Klowns on Facebook are vague threats and several creepy photos of clowns.

As of now, there has been no credible threat of a gun on either school's campus. However, Chief Deputy of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, Mike Lambert, has mentioned that the threats are being taken "seriously."

In the past few weeks, creepy clowns have been showing up all over the United States including in Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. While some may view the situation as a silly prank, the police are looking to arrest the perpetrators responsible for stirring up trouble.

WKRG stated that anyone who lays eyes on the clowns have been asked to report it to the police immediately.
