Kristin Chenoweth, best known for her award-winning roles on Broadway, is one such fan.
On a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Chenowith proved her loyalty to Westeros by showing that she could use her golden-pipes to belt out the theme song to Game Of Thrones.
You may be asking yourself, “Isn’t that theme an instrumental song?”
Why, yes, you are correct. It is an intstrumental piece.
Jimmy mentioned this fact as well, and admitted that he makes up words, depending on the episode, so he can sing along with the melody.
Being such an experienced vocalist, Kristin Chenoweth needed no such nonsense. As she grabbed the mic, and her Valyrian steel sword, she belted the Thrones theme in all of its instrumental beauty.
She completed her rendition to thunderous applause, and the fans at Kimmel’s studio loved her performance. After a bow, and lots of laughter, Jimmy gave Kristen a standing ovation, followed by an invitation to his house for the next episode of the series.
Game Of Thrones is currently filming its seventh season, and will be wrapping up the series with season eight, just after that.
