Maybe Anna Kendrick wasn’t joking when she pitched playing the Caped Crusaders trusty sidekick Robin to Ben Affleck in The Batman.
Earlier today, Joe Manganiello, who is confirmed to play The Batman’s big bad Deathstroke, posted a photo to his Instagram account of himself and “Robin.”

This all started during an interview on MTV’s After Hours to promote Affleck and Kendrick’s latest film The Accountant. The two did a hilarious little skit where Kendrick begged Batfleck to cast her as Robin.
Fans responded with excitement and are now pushing for Kendrick to land the role, completing the Dynamic Duo. Does this mean the end of Anna Kendrick’s dream of playing Marvel’s nutty Squirrel Girl?
Our friends at BossLogic decided to give us quite a tease when they posted an image of Kendrick as Robin and Manganiello as Deathstroke.
We think they look pretty darn good, you can see for yourself in the tweet below.

Yes, this could definitely work. Even if this is just a tease from Manganiello, fans still want to see Kendrick land a superhero or even a villain role in the DCEU.
Possibly if Barbara Gordon shows up in The Batman? But please, let’s leave Catwoman out of this!
