If you are not familiar with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, then it is time you got yourself acquainted with the series. The manga and anime are some of the most popular in Japan, and it has fans spanning across the globe. The series debuted in 1987 under Hirohiko Araki at Weekly Shonen Jump. It is the publication’s second-largest manga to date, and David Production turned it into an on-going anime back in October 2012.
So far, the anime has covered four storylines from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaderes, and Diamond Is Unbreakable. The story follows the Joestar family as each member is gifted with unique powers to take down supernatural foes. The live-acton film will be sourced from the latest arc and follow hero Josuke Higashikata after he learns he’s the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar. A man named Jotaro comes to warn the powerful hero that a seedy group of Stand users are looking to acquire power from a mystical Bow and Arrow. Teaming up with Jotaro, Josuke agrees to get the Bow and Arrow out of enemy hands, but their job grows more complicated when they learn a notorious serial killer in Morioh is a new Stand user named Yoshikage Kira.
