Game of Thrones has a reputation for being deadly thanks to shocking deaths like the execution of Ned Stark and the events of the Red Wedding. However, star Maisie Williams says that those who make it to the end may be rewarded with a special trophy.
“There are rumors,’ Williams tells Time Out London, ‘that if you make it from season one to season eight there’s a tattoo that we all get.
“We’re all waiting to see if we do make it. I was lucky enough to be in season one, even the pilot episode. If I do make it to season eight I will get it. It would be rude not to!”
Williams says that the pace of Game of Thrones is picking up as the story enters its final act.
“It’s just kind of tumbling now,” Williams says. “We’ve come to the climax and it’s rolling down to the end. It’s exciting. I really felt like at the end of last season everything was set up for how it was going to end. Every character came to a little junction in their lives. Now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends.”
With one more break between season seven and season eight still left to go, Williams gives fans a hint of what they should expect to be talking about after the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale.
“A huge cliffhanger,” Willams laughs.
It sounds like Game of Thrones fans have one more off-season of rampant speculation to look forward to.
