Before amassing a massive worldwide total of $1.515 billion, Furious 7 set a new April and franchise record at the North American box office with a $147 million opening weekend. The eighth installment in the series won’t have as impressive of a debut weekend, but we’re pretty sure Universal Pictures would be plenty happy if it lands somewhere between the $110 to $120 million range that box office analysts have forecast.

And as its release draws near, the studio has released a new clip from The Fate of the Furious. It features Dom chasing after someone through the streets of Havana, Cuba. After a motorcycle is purposely put in his path and badly damages his car, Dom falls behind in his pursuit, so he uses a boost of nitrous. It helps him catch up, but it also causes the car to ignite. Flame on!

On the heels of 2015’s Furious 7, one of the fastest movies to reach $1 billion worldwide in box-office history and the sixth-biggest global title of all time, comes the newest chapter in one of the most popular and enduring motion-picture serials of all time: The Fate of the Furious.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game โ€” and the rest of the crew has been exonerated โ€” the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stageโ€ฆand to bring home the man who made them a family.
