Buzz has been building about this film after Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation premiered, offering one of the best installments in the franchise which showcases Cruise hanging off of things in dangerous stunts.
After Cruise hung from the side of the Burj Khalifa and later from the side of an airplane taking off, fans have been wondering what Ethan Hunt would hang off of next. And according to McQuarrie and producer David Ellison, the actor has been training for over a year for his next major stunt in the franchise, in which he’ll presumably hang off of a satellite as it enters earth’s atmosphere.
It’s unclear if they’re currently filming the next huge stunt in the franchise right off the bat, as McQuarrie and Hardy only revealed that they’re filming on Paris rooftops as of yet.
The posts’ captions refer to the infamous opening credits from the original series, indicating that production has begun on the latest IMF escapade.

Rogue Nation and Ghost Protocol, the last two entries in the series, were successful at the box office and well received among fans. Longtime Cruise collaborator McQuarrie had the idea for the major stunt while promoting the last film in the franchise, and the actor immediately began preparing himself for it.
โจSo you can say what you want about Cruise so long as you don’t demean his commitment to hanging off of things.
Mission: Impossible 6 is scheduled to hit theaters July 27, 2018.
