Wonder Woman Limited Edition Blu-ray Gift Set Revealed

Wonder Woman is only two weeks into its theatrical run, but fans are ready to bring the heroine home for good. It will be some time before the newest DCEU movie makes its way to Blu-ray, but fans can go ahead and fawn over Wonder Woman‘s pricey limited edition Blu-ray over on Amazon. A pre-order link for the gift set is now live, and it gives fans a look at the must-have purchase.

Warner Bros. will be selling a limited edition Blu-ray gift set for Wonder Woman on Amazon exclusively. The package will come with a special figurine of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and the box set features an up-close image of the Themyscira princess.

If you are hoping to get the exclusive item, then you will need to save up some money. The gifts set is slated to sell for $129.99. The Blu-ray is still finalizing its cover art and release date at this time.

For those of you who can’t stomach such a hefty price tag, Wonder Woman has other options out there. Amazon has live pre-order links up for the film’s 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, and Blu-ray home video packages.

There’s no telling what kind of bonus features Wonder Woman will house when it hits shelves, but don’t expect there to be any deleted scenes. Director Patty Jenkins confessed to Collider this year that the film had nothing to spare after its theatrical cut was finished.

“You know, it’s not like a long journey didn’t happen but what amazes me is how little has actually changed from the first cut other than tightening. Little changes to the final battle, that was really it. I think that what I ended up finding about the final battle was I was hitting emotional points for Diana that I really wanted to hit but I felt a craving for some other kinds of emotional gratification and engagement that we tried to accentuate even more,” Jenkins said.

“I think what you learn is rhythm, tone, humor where the jokes are happening but in our case, I just now can finally say all this. We didn’t cut one scene in this movie nor did we change the order of one scene in this movie from the script that we went in shooting with.”

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, Princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns, and Zack Snyder. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).

Wonder Woman is in theaters now, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
