As the production is currently filming in the Land Down Under, it’s only fitting that part of the cast — Amber Heard, Dolph Lundgren, Patrick Wilson, and Ludi Lin — chose to take in an Australian Football League (AFL) match
Since production on Aquaman began in early May, a majority of the filming has taken place in Gold Coast, Queensland and it appears the picture was taken at Metricon Stadium, home of the Gold Coast Football Club.
Fortunately enough for the Australian rules football team, it appears the Aquaman was a good luck charm of sorts.GCFC ended up victorious over the North Melbourne Kangaroos, besting the visiting squad mostly in part to AFL superstar Gary Ablett’s 37 touches.
Outside of spontaneous casting news, little has been revealed about the production of Aquaman. Production of the film began in May in Gold Coast, Australia as the folks at Warner Brothers and DC prepare for its late 2018 release.
Before he gets his own solo flick, Arthur Curry/Aquaman will be seen teaming up with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Batman (Ben Affleck), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) in this Fall’s Justice League.
Aquaman currently has a 3.83 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipating rankings, while Justice League currently has a 4.16 out of 5. The official description can be found below.
