X-Men: Dark Phoenix has peaked the interest of franchise fans, as the studio recently announced that most of the mutants from the recent trilogy would be returning for the film.
This includes Tye Sheridan’s Cyclops, who was introduced in X-Men: Apocalypse.
In an alleged set photo from the film’s production, it appears that Cyclops has gotten a new hairstyle, as well as a new visor.

Some fans have questioned the legitimacy of the photo, saying that it could just be an unused visor from Apocalypse. However, there are a couple of factors that keep that from being the case.
First and foremost, his hair is shorter than it was in the last film. It’s also styled a bit differently than before. Secondly, the scratches and cuts on his face didn’t appear in Apocalypse.
It looks like the X-Men are getting some major upgrades heading into the Dark Phoenix saga.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be a direct sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse. The film will take place in the 1990s and will be inspired by “The Dark Phoenix Saga,” the most popular X-Men story of all time.
Fox attempted to adapt “The Dark Phoenix Saga” once previously, in X-Men: The Last Stand. The attempt was not well-received by fans.
