Now we know the titles of the first six episodes and when they will air, offering some new information about how quick this last slate of episodes will fly by.
The information comes courtesy of Jedi-Bibliothek, stating the episodes are as follows:
- Episode 1: “Heroes of Mandalore: Part 1” (October 16, 2017)
- Episode 2: “Heroes of Mandalore: Part 2” (October 16, 2017)
- Episode 3: “In the Name of the Rebellion: Part 1” (October 23, 2017)
- Episode 4: “In the Name of the Rebellion: Part 2” (October 23, 2017)
- Episode 5: “The Occupation” (October 30, 2017)
- Episode 6: “Flight of the Defender” (October 30, 2017)
With just 16 episodes left in the series, it seems like Disney XD and Lucasfilm are accelerating the broadcasting schedule for what remains of Star Wars Rebels. With two episodes airing every Monday for at least the first three weeks, the show could wrap up before Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters.
Of course Disney XD could toss in a break here or there, or even alter the schedule in November and only air one new episode a week. But at this point, it seems like the foot is on the gas pedal as we accelerate toward the series finale.
The show won’t have a typical broadcast time, instead airing at multiple times throughout the day. The first broadcast will happen at 12:30 am, followed by more at 3:00 am, 7:30 am, 5:30 pm, and then at 9:00pm.
Fans who have access to the Disney XD app will be able to view the episodes anytime after 12:01 am on Mondays.
Star Wars Rebels has steadily built itself up as a worthy successor to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and we’re excited to see how the Ghost crew’s adventure wraps up. Plus Dave Filoni has something else up his sleeve, and we can’t wait to see what era the next animated series will explore.
Star Wars Rebels premieres Monday, October 16 at 12:30 am on Disney XD.
