The first season of Riverdale ended with some shocking developments and potentially fatal repercussions for the small town, and with the season premiere less than a month away fans are finally getting a tease of what mysteries will haunt Archie and the gang.

The CW finally released a promo for the first episode of Riverdale Season Two, loaded with a ton of twists as well as our first look at the town’s newest arrival, Hiram Lodge. Check out the clip above.
Veronica’s dad loomed large in the first season despite never appearing on screen. After being arrested for fraud, Hiram was sent to prison while his wife and daughter made their home in Riverdale.
Mark Consuelos joins the cast, having last appeared on FOX’s Pitch, and is set to play a major role.
The show also teases some shower time lovin’ for Archie and Veronica and perhaps a white wedding. Archie gets a gun pointed at his head, teasing that we’ll get a further fleshed out scene from the season finale’s cliffhanger. And perhaps in a quest of vengeance, one scene shows Archie receiving a handgun from Dilton Doiley, the intense Boy Scout leader teaching his troops to prep for the apocalypse.
Betty and Jughead also share an intimate moment, throwing a bone to all the worried BugHead shippers. Juggy also looks fondly at his new Southside Serpents jacket. Cheryl appears to be in a hospital room with her mother Penelope wrapped in bandages. That will take some explaining, as the two Blossoms were last seen standing outside of Thornhill as it was engulfed in flames.
Other quick hits include a lineup of masked shooters, Fred Andrews in a hospital bed, and the return of Molly Ringwald! Hooray!
Riverdale Season Two is shaping up to be just as insane as the first year of episodes, giving fans of the teen mystery a lot to look forward to when it returns to The CW on October 11.
