‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Releases Some Trippy New Posters

A batch of new Thor: Ragnarok posters have been unveiled.

The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film gets a slew of new promo art, which use a familiar sort of art-deco style to bring the film’s characters to life.

Loki, Thor, and Hulk get a series of colorful character posters, with Valkyrie joining in on a group poster as well. Another poster shows Thor, Valkyrie, and Hulk leaping into action, while another shows the film’s buddy comedy duo facing off against Hela.

This colorful sensibility has become a pretty common trait for Ragnarok, with its previous theatrical, international, and character posters embracing that general aesthetic.

The film’s villain, played by Cate Blanchett, commands the spotlight on a few posters as well, in a green color palette. The posters give Hela’s costume design a chance to shine,

“A lot of the design of Hela is a combination of the early Jack Kirby stuff.” Ragnarok producer Brad Winderbaum told ComicBook.com during a set visit. “But also…especially his power set, the villain Gorr, who has a very specific power set of being able to manifest an infinite number of weapons.”
