Furious 7 Super Bowl Trailer: 7 Questions Raised

On Sunday, during Super Bowl XLIX, Universal Studios unveiled the latest trailer for Furious 7. No doubt, the trailer raised a lot of questions as the plot thickens for the Fast & Furious family.

How did the bomb get there?

The new trailer insinuates that Deckard Shaw, the big brother of Owen, had a hand in the explosion of Dom's house, but how did he get a bomb in Dom's house? Is it an inside job? Did he make a trip to L.A.?

What happened to Hobbs' arm?

Yeah, it looks awesome seeing The Rock bust out of that cast, but why is Hobbs wearing a cast? Last time we saw Hobbs he was in good health leaving Dom's house, having gotten the family their pardons. Maybe it will be early in the movie when he gets the injury, or maybe something we don't see that can lay the foundation for a Hobbs spinoff movie.

What is Hobbs shooting at?

Either Hobbs heals really quickly, like, stuck on a mysterious island in the south pacific quickly, or this happened before his arm was put into a cast. He's aiming high, and we know from the previous trailers something/someone is shooting back. A helicopter? A person? A flying car?

Who is Rhonda Rousey's character?

Rousey's character is still unnamed on IMDb and very little is known about her so far. It looks like she's more of an enemy than a friend, though, that's for sure.

Why is Dom flying from building to building?

Was this really the best option? The cut of the trailer looks like he is evading a grenade launcher, but you can't be too sure, but he's either evading something killer or in a real hurry to get to that art show across the street.

Why are they sky diving in cars?

Another time we're forced to ask: is this really the best option? What kind of mission could the team be on where they have to jump out of a very-Bane reminiscent trailer and parachute on to the road.

What's going to happen with Brian?

We all were devastated to hear the news of Paul Walker's sudden passing. We know that this is not going to be the last installment of the franchise and the crew has a plan for Paul Walker's key-to-the-franchise character, Brian, but what is it? This is something that will have to be handled very delicately because the millions of fans will want something respectful and gratifying for the character, while also honoring Paul's legacy.

Furious 7 races to theaters April 3, 2015.
