George Barris Laid To Rest In Customized Batmobile Casket

George Barris, the "king of customizers" responsible for the design of 1966's TV Batmobile, was laid to rest in a custom-designed coffin complete with Batmobile-inspired fins.
Barris, who also designed the Munster Koach, passed away at his home on November 5.

Barris, who continued to customize and restore cars and to make convention appearances right up until the end, also created or modified cars used in Mannix, The Beverly Hillbillies, My Mother The Car and later seasons of Knight Rider.
