Injustice 2 is coming next year, bringing you the largest roster of DC heroes and villains - and maybe even a few surprise guests from the Mortal Kombat universe - to do combat on a huge scale. Today NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. are giving us a quick glimpse of what we can expect from Supergirl. The footage above gives us a good idea of the combos, special moves, and finisher Supergirl has at her disposal; needless to say, she is a total badass. Check out some highlight screen-shots in the gallery below!

Fighting game lovers like me are going to immediately see a mid to long-range pest here. It looks like Supergirl's special moves all cater to the type of fighter that will keep his or her distance, and poke opponents from afar. Heat vision and ice breath can both be utilized effectively from long range, and Supergirl also has a very fast teleportation punch that will keep enemies on their toes.

If you're planning to main Supergirl, it looks like your best bet is to chip away at your opponents health from afar, luring them in to closing the distance where you can pull of some quick and dirty combos up close and then create some space again. She definitely seems like "damage over time" kind of character, but for those of you who like to play a more bulldog, in-your-face style, the teleportation punch will be the best way to close in quickly on your opponents.

As for the finishing move, "Asteroid Shower" is a spectacle. You'll see Supergirl hurl her opponent to the earth before unleashing a surging torrent of heat energy from her eyes. She uses that heat blast to shatter an enormous asteroid that comes raining down upon her freshly tossed enemy. I don't care who you are or what kind of super powers you have, that ought to kill you.

Get a closer look at Supergirl in the gallery below, and let us know who you're looking forward to playing most in Injustice 2 when it launches next year!
