Dragon Ball Super can play it free and loose with power levels, but all of the anime's rules may go out the window when it comes to Jiren. The fighter is proved just how powerful he was in the show's most recent episodes when he battled Goku, but there is more to the Pride Trooper.

In fact, the Universe 11 fighter may just be strong enough to win against guys like Beerus.

During Dragon Ball Super's new episodes, fans watched as Goku fell to Jiren during their first fight. The pair went head-to-head in the Tournament of Power, but Goku found himself at a loss when Jiren managed to throw his Spirit Bomb back at him. Goku did his best to mitigate the counterattack, but the Saiyan failed and wound up taking the bomb's full brunt.

When the explosion cleared, fans were left to watch the Gods of Destruction who were sitting outside the arena. Beerus can be seen looking stunned by Goku's sudden loss, and Shin can't help but marvel at Jiren's power.

"This power feels different from anyone we've ever faced before," Shin says. "He's strong. Plain and simple."

"I daresay like a God of Destruction. He is the one who has reached that state. Perhaps even surpassed it," Whis adds on.

"There is a universe where lives a mortal even a God of Destruction can't defeat," the angel says, looking at Belmond of Universe 11. "It appears the rumor is true."

Fans aren't surprised to hear Jiren get such praise, but the accolades do bode poorly for Goku. The Saiyan's bag of tricks failed to impress the Universe 11 warrior, and the hero only got to push back against Jiren when he adopted a new form. Goku is not even close to mastering his new power-up, and the hero has yet to beat Beerus full-on in a match. If Jiren is said to be equal or superior to the God of Destruction, then Goku is going to have one hard time taking the warrior down.
