Berserk return to TV in 2016, with a new series that told one of the later chapters of the manga saga. The new show follows an insanely strong warrior named Guts, who was part of an elite combat unit years ago. Guts has to navigate the countryside- trying to find answers about his past – while being chased by various armies and demons. If he can rid the world of these demons, he can possibly get back to the course of action he had hoped would shape his life.
While fans had mixed feelings about the new series, it was viewed enough to get a second season order. In a new report on the show’s website, it was revealed that the second season of Berserk would come much sooner than anticipated.
The new arc of the show will debut on MBS and WOWOW this April, with a simulcast expected to follow. Crunchyroll provided the simulcast for season one, so its looking like the site will do the same with season two this year.
