Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Anime Teases New Theme Songs

The month of April will be a bittersweet one for Naruto fans. After more than a decade on-air, Naruto Shippuden will be winding down at the end of March as the anime adapts its final epilogue arc. The show is set to animate Naruto’s wedding with Hinata shortly before April rolls in, but the new month will bring a gift to fans. After Naruto Shippuden comes to a close, the franchise will continue on with a new spin-off anime titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

As the premiere of Boruto draws nearer, more information about the curious title continue to be unveiled. Now, the folks behind the new venture are teasing fans about the anime’s first theme songs. In the most recent issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the magazine revealed just who would be in-charge of Boruto‘s musical numbers.

The opening theme for Boruto will be done by the band KANA-BOON and be titled “Baton Road.” As for the ending, The Peggies will take care of the track “Dreamy Johnny.”

Of course, Naruto fans will be familiar with KANA-BOON already even if the name does not ring a bell. The franchise has called upon the band to do theme song for Naruto Shippuden, and the group also performed the opening track of Boruto: Naruto The Movie. KANA-BOON has also done music for other anime titles like Mobile Gundam Wing: Iron-Blooded Orphans and The Perfect Insider.

As for The Peggies, the group will make its main anime debut with Boruto. The group most recently released a single last October.
