At long last, Dragon Ball has given fans something they’ve dreamt of for years. The anime is ramping up the ‘Universal Survival’ arc by bringing out one intense Super Saiyan throwback. After having introduced the first female Super Saiyan, Dragon Ball Super one-upped itself this week by debuting a character lovingly known as Female Broly. And, yes – she’s absolutely terrifying.

Broly may be one of the franchise’s most controversially characters, but Female Broly has managed to pique the attention of fans. The character, who is also known as Kale, comes from Universe 6 and has been asked to take part in the Tournament of Power along with her mentor Caulifla. In the latest episode of Dragon Ball Super, fans watched as Kale was pushed into a Super Saiyan form similar to Broly’s Legendary transformation.

For now, there is no official word on the heroine’s Super Saiyan state, but fans cannot deny its Legendary roots. Affectionately known as Super Saiyan Berserker, Kale’s unprecedented power mirrors the Legendary Super Saiyan state; The only difference is that Kale generates electricity with her form like the kind seen in Super Saiyan 2.

So far, fans have yet to learn what kind of power levels Kale has in the state, but her berserker mode is awe-inspiring. Kale’s comrades are left in shock over the transformation, and the form looks as powerful as Broly’s was. With Universes 6 & 7 being twins, there is little doubt at this point that Kale is meant to be Broly’s multiverse mirror, so Goku better watch.

After months of waiting for Kale’s debut, fans of Dragon Ball Super were understandably shook over her Super Saiyan form. Fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts about the anime’s not-so-subtle Broly nods, and you can check out some of the Internet’s best reactions in the slides below:
