Dragaon Ball Super is really getting into the most exciting part of the Tournament of Power within the next few episodes, which will include Goku’s epic battle against Jiren!

However, the fighter from Universe 11 is still very much a mystery, but a series of recent clues are providing more and more evidence that he may be the most powerful fighter we’ve seen yet – one that pushes Goku to new limits and a new transformation that fans are hyped to see.
Ever since it leaked that Goku’s Kaio-ken x20 attack and SSB form will be no match for Jiren, it’s become clear that the Universe 11 fighter is hiding some truly unprecedented power levels. Even more ominous is the rumor that Jiren won’t even be showing his true power when he’s beating down Goku in SSB form!
This all leads back to the popular theory of how Goku’s next form will be achieved…
The Spirit Bomb Effect
The running theory is that when Goku discovers Kaio-ken x20 and SSB are not enough to stop Jiren, he turns to an old favorite: The Spirit Bomb. It’s not a certainty what effect the bomb would have against Jiren, but the speculation is that Goku will actually absorb the Spirit Bomb, and that shattering his old limits in the process could be the source of his new transformation.
There’s been a lot of empty rumors and some real teases of what Goku’s new form will entail, including that it could be as powerful as 50x SSB; that it will require ‘an emotional trigger’ that could come from a major character death; and that it’s even stronger than Beerus! The only real question in this therory is: How can Goku charge a Spirit Bomb in The Tournament of Power, given the Tournament’s location?
However the reveal ultimately synchs up to the rumors, one thing is for certain: this upcoming fight between Goku and Jiren (supposedly beginning in Episode 109) will be one of the most epic battles that Dragon Ball fans have ever seen!
