It seems like the entire Dragon Ball fandom is waiting for one thing these days. After being teased last month, audiences are dying to learn about the mysterious new form Goku was seen using in a recent poster, but Toei Animation has been quiet about the transformation. However, it appears no one told Yamcha’s voice actor about the studio and its gag order.

Over on Twitter, Toshio Yoshita got fans buzzing when the actor responded to a fan’s question. The actor, who is known for voicing Yamcha, was asked if Goku will be getting a new form in Dragon Ball Super. Here’s what Yoshita had to say:

“It’s a secret, but I’m expecting the birth of a new form!”

Judging by the actor’s use of the sly face emoji, fans are feeling pretty confident Goku will be getting a new form rather than a simply Kaio-Ken power up. The Saiyan has undergone Kaio-Ken enhanced transformations in the past, but Dragon Ball Super did hint at Goku getting an entirely new form with its recent poster.

At the start of July, the folks at Toei Animation debuted a poster to celebrate the start of the Tournament of Power. Dragon Ball Super dropped a poster showing Goku’s back as the fighter faced forward. The hero’s orange Gi was shredded down his torso, and power could be seen emanating around Goku’s tense back. And, when it came to his hair, Goku had a very strange hairstyle.

Rather than donning her Super Saiyan locks, Goku was seen with a different do entirely. The hero’s hair did stand up straight, but its Super Saiyan color was swapped out for black. Goku’s ink-black hair had to undergo a big change for his form, and Dragon Ball fans all know a change in hairstyle is a good sign of a transformation’s debut.

The synopsis of Dragon Ball Super‘s current saga can be read here: “According to an invitation that Goku gets, Zen-Oh (Omni King) is starting a martial arts tournament between all the universes called “Chikara no Taikai” (Tournament of Power). But it is the beginning of universal destruction. Something awaits the winners and losers of this tournament. What will become of this fierce team battle between each universe’s elite warriors?

Dragon Ball Super‘s “Universal Survival” saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
