Jenna Wrenn is a Features Writer for ComicBook.com, where she covers Movies & TV, Comics, and Anime. She began her career in entertainment journalism in 2022 as a journalist and editor for Temple of Geek, getting a late start on her childhood dream of being a professional writer. She has bylines as a Senior Comics Reporter at Screen Rant, CBR, and Anime Fire.
Jenna is a seasoned podcaster and the host and executive producer of Portrait of a Fangirl and the co-creator, co-host, and executive producer of Femsplaining. Her work has led to moderating panels for Webtoon at New York Comic Con with acclaimed artists like Rachel Smythe of Lore Olympus — a creator who has inspired Jenna for years. Jenna has also served as a panelist for Portrait of a Fangirl at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
A lifelong Star Wars fan, her love for the franchise started after her grandfather took her to see the Special Edition 20th-anniversary theatrical re-release of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope in 1997 at the tender age of 8. Since that moment, she dove headfirst into the fandom and has a particular love for the prequels (and Hayden Christensen), which were released during her childhood and teen years. Star Wars Rebels is her favorite content in the franchise, and it was a standout moment in her career as a creator and a fan to interview the cast for ComicBook.com—a project she worked on for months to bring to fruition. She has also had the pleasure of interviewing many other people she admires, including Ashley Eckstein, Felicia Day, Katee Sackhoff, and Charles Soule.
When she’s not writing, she’s catching up on her favorite anime, Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen, fangirling over Bucky Barnes, or reading her way through the many books and comics of the Star Wars: High Republic publishing initiative.
Jenna holds her BA and MA in History with a concentration in Women’s History. She is based in NY with her two cats, who demand (and recieve) her undivided attention.
