DC's long-awaited massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORG) DC Universe, where players can play as either a hero or villain from a rich array of DC characters, has added some big name talent to the list of creative forces behind the game, long-time writer Marv Wolfman. The news came out of San Diego's Comic-Con during the DC Universe Online panel. Wolfman will contribute story arcs and ideas that will go hand in hand with work that writer Geoff Johns has for the vision of the game as a whole. While there will be some similarities and ties to major DC events from recent years past, players should expect most of the action in the game to be original and organic to game, as they, and the players, are not tied down to following continuity and relationships of the mainstream DC titles. Wolfman is known for his lengthy work on the 1970's title The Tomb of Dracula, where he created popular Marvel hero Blade. His work also includes runs on Amazing Spider-Man and his hand in launching The New Teen Titans with George Perez. This duo would also collaborate on the seminal Crisis on Infinite Earths. It seems a logical step to include this legend of the industry in creating stories and tales for this next step in the evolution of DC!
