In a new interview with Slashfilm, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige seems to confirm recent rumors that Disney want to make an animated feature film based on Marvel Comics characters. Asked whether an animated movie could happen through Disney, the executive said that it would have to be through Disney Animation, not Pixar, since Pixar are "clearly doing their own thing." However, he seemed to indicate that there had at least been serious discussions on the matter. "I'm not going to be the one to say what it is, but as you might imagine when we have thousands of characters and properties and now are owned by Disney, who has the greatest animation studio on earth, there are going to be discussions." Pressed for details later in the interview he just reiterared, "There are certainly discussions." Sounds like something is at least on someone's radar right now, and the phrase "I'm not going to be the one to say what it is" seems like there might be something specific to spill, if he were willing.
