When director Bryan Singer made the surprise announcement that Peter Dinklage of Game Of Thrones fame had been cast in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, most speculated that he would be playing Puck of Alpha Flight. Of course, Puck is a dwarf like Peter Dinklage, which is why most of speculation revolved around that character. In Comicbook.com's report on the announcement, we noted that it was also possible that Peter Dinklage could be playing a villain or a brand new character. Now, according to Variety, it looks like a villain it will be. While it still has not been officially announced exactly what character Peter Dinklage will be playing, Variety's sources have informed them that Peter Dinklage would be the main antagonist in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. With that description, the likely speculation for Dinklage's role now turns to Doctor Bolivar Trask, who created the Sentinels. However, Bill Duke played that role in X-Men: Last Stand, so it would be a re-casting if Singer goes that route. It's also possible that Dinklage could be playing a role utilizing motion capture, which would open up the possibility of him playing Master Mold or Nimrod. X-Men Days of Future Past is set to be released in movie theaters on July 18, 2014.
