Guardians Of The Galaxy: Zoe Saldana Negotiating To Play Gamora

As filming grows closer for Guardians of the Galaxy, more casting rumors are starting to break. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that actress Zoe Saldana is in negotiations to play Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy. If a deal is signed, then Saldana will join Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista, who have already been cast. Gamora is a green-skinned alien and the last of her species. She is also a skilled assassin. If Zoe Saldana does join the cast, it will not be her first time in space in a movie by any means. Zoe Saldana is best known for playing Uhura in J.J. Abrams Star Trek reboot and playing Neytiri in Avatar. She is set to appear in Star Trek Into Darkness, which opens on May 17, 2013. Guardians of the Galaxy is being directed by James Gunn and is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on August 1, 2014.
