Man Of Steel: Explaining The Skulls And Krypton

In the Man of Steel footage shown at Comic Con, there was a brief scene of Superman emerging from a pile of skulls. Also, there are several official photographic prints from the Man Of Steel which show Superman featured with skulls. Many have been wondering how all these skulls could play into Man Of Steel. It could be that General Zod slaughters numerous people with some type of blast that leaves only the invulnerable Superman surviving. However, we think such a scene might be a little too gruesome for Warner Bros. to include in a Superman movie. Our theory on the skulls is that they belong to the former citizens of Krypton. What if all the skulls belong to all the people on Krypton that General Zod slaughtered? Maybe, General Zod buries Superman in the skulls and bones of his fellow Kryptonians. It could also be that the scene is a dream sequence where Superman is just having nightmares about everyone on Krypton being dead. Whether something that actually occurs or is just a dream, we're betting the skulls are meant to be from Krypton.
