Evan Peters as Quicksilver

While Joss Whedon recently revealed that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were in his plans for Avengers 2, it looks like 20th Century Fox has beaten Disney to the punch. X-Men Days Of Future Past director Bryan Singer just tweeted, "Before he was an #Avenger, he was just a REALLY fast kid. Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver." Now, there are a couple of things that could be made of this announcement. Marvel Studios President Of Production Kevin Feige previously revealed that both Disney and 20th Century Fox had the rights to use Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in movies. Could it be that 20th Century Fox is trying to establish their movie version of Quicksilver first so that Disney can't use a similar look? Or could this be the first confirmation of the much rumored giant Marvel Cinematic Universe that we've heard about? Maybe, Quicksilver will be used to tie the 20th Century Fox and Disney version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe together. X-Men Days Of Future Past is scheduled to be released in movie theaters in the Unites States on July 18, 2014.
