The Wolverine

With The Wolverine coming up fast and 2014's most-anticipated comic book movie probably Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past, things are looking pretty bright for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the bad-ass antihero at the heart of the X-franchise. Having already done seven movies as the character, though, Jackman says he's not sure if he's got any more in him once this next one is finished. "I wasn't even sure after the first [stand-alone] film if I would do another," Jackman admitted to Entertainment Weekly. "I won't say never, because I'm still loving it. But there would have to be a pretty compelling reason." It's difficult to guess what that "compelling reason" would be - reuniting with the original director and cast to make the "ultimate" X-Men movie has already been done (or rather, is being done) with Days of Future Past, and redeeming the mistakes of X-Men Origins: Wolverine  by crafting a thoughtful solo film that gives insight into Logan's character has been the stated objective of The Wolverine, meaning that they will have either achieved it or, if not, probably not be afforded another opportunity to try. So...could this be it for Jackman?
