Guardians of the Galaxy: Two Angela Variants Revealed, Animated Series Teased

With Angela's first full (non-cameo) appearance in the Marvel Universe on the horizon in the Neil Gaiman-Brian Michael Bendis-written Guardians of the Galaxy #5, the publisher has released cover images for not one but two new Angela-centric variant covers--and word has come out that Marvel is apparently interested in the Guardians as an animated property. You can check out the variants at right and below. Meanwhile, Bleeding Cool noted that the letters page of last week's #4 featured the following words from editor Steve Wacker:

"I can't officially confirm that we spent a LOT of time talking about Guardians of the Galaxy at this animation summit, but wouldn't that HYPOTHETICALLY be...amazing? Seriously though, don't ask me about it because it totally didn't happen." Which of course is the kind of thing they might say if they wanted to make sure we all knew it did happen...
