Kevin Smith Weighs In On Justin Bieber As Robin In Batman Vs. Superman

When Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in Batman Vs. Superman, fanboy and director Kevin Smith was one of the first to rush to Affleck's defense. Smith labeled Affleck being cast as Batman as "the greatest thing that ever happened." So what did Kevin Smith think of the news that Justin Bieber could be up for the Robin role in Batman Vs. Superman? Did he urge fans to give the singer a chance before rushing to judgement? Unsurprisingly, Smith doesn't appear to be quite as receptive to the idea of Bieber as Robin as he was to his friend Affleck playing Batman. In response to the an article about Bieber tweeting out a photo of the Batman Vs. Superman script along with the hashtag #Robin, Smith tweeted, "I know it isn't April Fool's Day... so maybe this is some kinda Friday the 13th nightmare? My prediction: mean prank." Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
