Emmy Outstanding Drama Series Breaking Bad

For the final award of the 65th Annual Emmy Awards, Will Ferrell presented the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. The winner was AMC's Breaking Bad, which had been nominated for thirteen Emmy Awards. Vince Gilligan accepted the Emmy on behalf of the entire team. "I did not see this coming. I thought this was going to be House of Cards, or it could have been Homeland, or it could have been Mad Men, or it could have been Game of Thrones or Downtown Abbey. It could have been any of them. And even some others that were not nominated in this golden age of television that we feel so proud to be a part of," said Gilligan. "Thank you to the best cast on TV, starting with Mr. Bryan Cranston," added Gilligan. The Breaking Bad finale airs on Sunday, September 29 at 9 PM ET on AMC.
