Yesterday, we reported that Marvel Studios' Ant-Man was rumored to begin filming today, largely based off of clues from a photograph of what was said to be the film's set.

Today, we have confirmation from Ant-Man director Peyton Reed that the film does indeed begin filming today.

Reed tweeted earlier today "Alright, gang. Today is the day. LET'S. GET. small. #AntMan"

Following the departure of director Edgar Wright, and the subsequent script rewrites and search for a new director, many fans were skeptical as to whether or not Marvel Studios would be able to get the film back on track for it's July 17, 2015 release date.

It seems, with filming beginning today, that Marvel has managed to right the ship and should be on course to hit their target release date without issue.
