Quicksilver, played by Evan Peters, nearly stole the show in X-Men: Days of Future Past, with his super-speed rescue scene at the Pentagon proving to be a fan favorite.

Now Peters may have become the hardest working actor on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse, as he and director Bryan Singer work to top the spectacle of the previous film.

“There’s one sequence that took one and a half months to shoot for three minutes of film,” Singer tells Empire. “It involves the most complex camera moves, very sophisticated explosive algorithms, 3D Phantom cameras travelling at 50mph while shooting at 3,100 frames per second. Evan worked more days on this movie than any other actor because of this one sequence.”

Where Quicksilver’s Days of Future Past scene was set to the sound of Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle,” his Apocalypse scene will have a more era appropriate pop tune playing.
