R2-D2 is getting a run for his money as favorite Star Wars droid, courtesy of BB-8 from Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, and now you can bring a life-size version of the little guy home with you.
Created by Spin Master, makers of a plethora of remote controlled star wars ships like the Millennium Falcon, Speeder Bike, and Tie Advance X1, the life-size BB-8 isn’t just a replica. He can be fully controlled with either a remote or via voice commands. When you speak to him, BB-8 will detect the source of the sound, turning to look at you before heading your way.

BB-8 also comes with two optional modes. The first is follow, which will enable BB-8 to accompany you wherever you go, just like the movie. There is also Sentry mode, which will have him stand still and monitor for movement. If he detects it, he will sound an alarm.
Pretty damn snazzy, and not a bad deal at all for $179.00. The adorable droid is expected to release sometime this fall.
