“You know I’m going to be at San Diego Comic-Con International this year, but you have no idea what I’m going to be doing,” Amell wrote to his Facebook wall. “The Arrow panel on Friday evening is the literal tip of the iceberg. Feel free to speculate. There are (at least) 3 more things on my schedule. Big things. Needless to say, I plan on winning Comic-Con this year.”
Amell could very well, like fellow cult TV sensation Zachary Levi, be rolling out his own content separate from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment; his charitable work and his winery both indicate that he’s not content to be just a guy showing off his abs on TV.
Otherwise, of course, the idea that he’s got at least three more items on his schedule will no doubt send many fans into a tizzy over whether he might be joining panels for other Warner Bros. TV shows (like The Flash and Constantine) or even movies, intimating a connected universe between the Arrowverse and the DC Cinematic Universe.
The Arrow panel itself is likely to be an exciting affair; Katana was just recently announced as joining the cast, and it seems likely Ted Kord/Blue Beetle will be announced sometime between now and the show.
Arrow returns to the air on October 8 at 8 p.m. on The CW. Comic Con International: San Diego runs from July 23-27.
