During the Marvel Studios Event Q&A, it was announced that the Black Panther film will be coming to theaters on Nov. 3, 2017. Actor Chadwick Boseman is set to play the Wakandan superhero, T’Challa.

However, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that Black Panther will have a huge role to play inย Captain America 3: Civil War set to be released on May 6, 2017

“We have already started seeding things in the films leading up to this moment,” Feige said.

In both the Iron Man and Captain America films, the fictional mineral vibraniumย has been referenced. Wakandaย is home to the largest deposit of the rare mineral. In addition, Marvel’sย Avengers: Age of Ultronย features villain Ulysses S. Klaw, the assassin responsible for the death of T’Challa’sย father, T’Chaka.

Feigeย called Black Panther one of the most exciting and integral Marvel characters. The film will also focus on Wakanda, the isolationist African nation, and its introduction to the rest of the world.
