Box Office: I Spy With My Little Eye Another Hit For Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy’s comedy Spy will top the box office this weekend, but it wasn’t the top film at the box office on Friday. That honor belongs to Insidious: Chapter 3. The horror film pulled in $10.38M yesterday, while Spy finished up right behind it with $10.2M. Spy should end its debut weekend in first with $30M+, while Insidious will finish in third place with $23M+.

Meanwhile, last weekend’s champ, San Andreas, only dropped 53%. It’ll come in second place with $25M+. The Entourage movie will come in fourth with $11M.

Also of note: Mad Max: Fury Road has passed $300M at the worldwide box office. Congrats, George Miller!
