Aw Yeah Comics, the Chicago-based, all-ages publisher owned and operated by Eisner Award-winning creators Art Baltazar and Franco, announced today at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) that they will begin digital publishing through Mark Waid and John Rogers’s Thrillbent Comics.In a statement released via the company’s Facebook page, they announced, “The first of our big announcements regarding Aw Yeah Comics Publishing has been made. We are proud to announce that Aw Yeah Comics is joining Thrillbent.com, and will be available through Comixology starting tomorrow. In addition, the Aw Yeah crew will be producing digital exclusive content through Thrillbent. It is the first step in producing more all ages material for digital consumption. There will be much more on what we have in store over the coming months, but it starts with Aw Yeah Comics #1 tomorrow.”Aw Yeah Comics is named after the comics retailer by the same name that the pair operate. The series features a revolving roster of creative talents, from newcomers to veterans, with Baltazar and Franco serving as the publishers, lynchpins of the series–and distributors of the physical comics, which are sold at conventions, via mail order and at the Aw Yeah Comics store in Skokie, Illinois.
