With so many Marvel superheroes being stuffed into Civil War you can understand why some people may not see the upcoming film as a Captain America (Chris Evans) film, but it most certainly is. Robert Downey Jr. felt that the moment he noticed cameras were arranged to follow Steve Rogers’ perspective and not Tony Stark’s.

“It just hit me yesterday, now that we’re six weeks in, that they were actually over his shoulder coming out of the elevator, not over my shoulder watching him come out of the elevator,” Downey told Entertainment Weekly during their Civil War set visit. “I was like, oh, that’s right, it’s his point of view.”

Evans would gladly ride shotgun in Iron Man 4, if that ever happens. “I’d be happy to be in an Iron Man movie,” Evans said. “We’ve been in so many movies together, the titles are almost, at this point, inconsequential. We all win!”

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two campsโ€”one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War opens in U.S. theaters on May.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016.
