After first glimpses at Daredevil debuted last year during New York Comic Con, fans everywhere have been chomping at the bit to see Charlie Cox in action as the hero of Hell’s Kitchen. With the full trailer for the Netflix series debuting online today, we here at ComicBook.com noticed some scenes in it that we remember from being in that room during the convention.

First up comes from our first glimpse at Vincent D’Onofrio as the Kingpin. The scene continues as follows:

We open on Vanessa walking around an art gallery who turns a corner and sees the Kingpin standing in a black suit, in front of an all white canvas.

“It’s an old children’s joke, you hold up a white piece of paper and ask ‘What’s this?’ A rabbit in a snowstorm. Are you interested or just looking?” Vanessa asks.

“Interested,” Fisk answers slowly as we get a look at his face.

Vanessa continues on about people always asking about why such a value is placed on such a piece of art, but that none of it matters. “All that matters is how it makes you feel. How does it make you feel,” she asks Fisk.

“It makes me feel alone.”

Then, there’s this “blink and you miss it” moment from the trailer featuring Rosario Dawson as Night Nurse:

It begins with Daredevil on the couch, realizing his mask has been removed. Night Nurse is sitting right next to the couch and outlines all of his possible injuries. Broken ribs, cuts, the works.

Matt is naturally freaked out at his identity being exposed but remains incredibly calm and cagey.

The two exchange sharp witty banter and we learn just a tiny bit about Night Nurse. She asks him, “would you mind telling me how a blind man in a mask ends up beaten up and dumped in a dumpster?” There’s a great line by Matt where he says “most people who find a costumed bleeding guy in their garbage call the cops, why didn’t you?” Right before the scene ends, Matt asks for her name, she tells him, but he refuses to tell her his name. Night Nurse retorts with “I’ll call you Mike,” because she knew a Mike who was very good at keeping secrets as well.

Last but not least comes from the very last scene in the trailer, a beaten down Daredevil with blood dripping from his mouth. Here’s how we get to that point:

The footage kicks off with Karen page alone in her apartment on a dark rainy night. She’s walking through the apartment trying to find a hidden knife (possibly a tape recorder, it was dark), she finds it in a vent.

Unfortunately, she has an intruder in her apartment who quickly disarms her. As soon as he does so Daredevil shows up. Daredevil is wearing the all black suit that we’ve all come to love.

The two tussle, and end up both jumping out of a window and landing pretty badly on the concrete. The sound focuses in on the knife blade clanging on the floor and the rain hitting the pavement. Here we get a real sense of how Daredevil hears the world around him.

After Daredevil hit the ground, we get a great flashback scene that features a young Matt Murdock & his father. Jack Murdock walks into the kitchen where Matt is sitting and grabs something from the freezer. Matt takes his hands and feels his fathers wounds, and then his father tells him, “Come on Matty. Get to work.” Then we cut back to present day Daredevil fighting in the rain, blood dripping from his mouth.

There is a bit more fighting and we get a cool moment where we can see Daredevil sense a clanging chain nearby in which he uses to finish the fight. There’s a quick moment with Karen Page where Matt nabs her recorder and says he’ll get it to the right people. She quickly responds with “No, you can’t. You can’t take it to the police! You can’t trust anyone!” The scene ends.

So what do you think? Are you more excited to get the entire series all at once this April? What are you hoping we see during season one? Let us know in the comments below.
