Here’s another one for the E3 rumor pile: a new report suggests that Namco Bandai will announce Dark Souls 3 at this year’s event.

According to the report, which cites “a source familiar with the matter,” Dark Souls 3 will be directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of the original Dark Souls, its spiritual predecessor Demon Souls, and its spiritual successor Bloodborne (he also served as supervisor on Dark Souls 2).
All of these are known for their dark atmosphere, brutal difficulty, and immersive and challenging gameplay, and they’re nearly universally loved by critics and adored by fans.
Again, this is a rumor. Nothing is official until its official, but fans should be keeping their fingers crossed.
