Disney has officially confirmed that Captain America: Civil War will run 147 minutes, or 2 hours and 27 minutes, THR reports. That’s one minute longer than a movie theater chain in Australia listed it yesterday, though that minute may be a quirk of international release.

The run time is the longest of any Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to date, beating out The Avengers by a scant four minutes.
With characters including Team Cap: Captain America, Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and Hawkeye, and Team Iron Man: Tony, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine, and Black Panther, plus the introduction of Spider-Man, there are a lot of stories to serve. The film serves as a direct sequel to Avengers: Age of Ultron and also Captain America: The Winter Soldier, meaning it has to pick up plots of both. Directors the Russo Brothers are also directing the upcoming two-part Avengers: Infinity War, so there are likely seed they’d like to plant for that opus.
Captain America: Civil War, all two hours, twenty-seven minutes of it, hits theaters May 6, 2016.
