New Era “snapback” baseball caps appear to be the first officially-licensed Thor: The Dark World products available for fans to pre-order, Comic Book Movie reported today.This could indicate that Marvel is beginning to prep for a long run-up to the November release–something that would make sense, given the fact that most of the summer movies have been released in a few more weeks, and Thor will be competing with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire for holiday moviegoers’ attentions.Getting some time where the film is essentially alone in being merchandised and advertised in stores and online can’t hurt, since statistics show that in 3 out of every four photographs, Jennifer Lawrence is prettier than Chris Hemsworth.*The film is due in theaters on November 8 and will mark Marvel Studios’s second outing of 2013 (the first being Iron Man 3, currently the highest-grossing movie of the year).
